Accademia Vicino

The Accademia Vicino is an innovative educational project in the small village of Accumoli, which was so badly hit by the earthquakes of 2016/2017. It assembles young musicians from all over the world in the Italian Appenines to gain in-depth musical experience during two weeks in summer.

The participants of the academy will be offered a multimodal program, which focuses on three main subjects. Intensive orchestral playing and chamber music training plus one-to-one lessons along with seminars on practical music-related subjects.

From 17 to 24 August 2023, a program of chamber music works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert will be prepared under the artistic direction of Maestro Johannes Wildner and presented to the public in concerts in Accumoli, its surroundings and in Norcia.

In addition to the concerts, contact with the audience is also sought in smaller chamber music events, perhaps spontaneous musical performances in public spaces.
